The Arizona Trail and What Will I Eat? July 18, 2025

 My focus now is to determine what recipes I will use. The backpacking dehydrated food may be relatively tasty, but it is expensive. In the past I used to dehydrate my own food, but now I don't have a dehydrator. Now, I am asking my Facebook friends to help me out.  Charleston was the home of the people who processed the ore from various mines in the area. It was established in 1878. Some histories state that Charleston was a peaceful town, others claim Charleston was more dangerous than Tombstone. The reality was that after the "gunfight at the OK Corral," and the "vendetta ride," the town and the area in general area became more peaceful. A large Sonoran Earthquake destroyed Charleston on May 3rd, 1887. The only traces of the old town are the remains of the old adobe buildings. What if Trump Wins in 2024?

 2  Nov 2024 I've worried about another Trump presidency for months. Friends have tried to reassure me. "Trump won't win." But I don't feel assured. Though a great number of the old guard Republicans have turned against Trump and are spending thousands on anti-Trump commercials, seemingly with no effect. It doesn't matter than Trump is a liar. I mean half of what he says are lies and the rest isn't true. MAGAs point the finger at Biden and call him a liar, and he does spin the truth occasionally finessing his numbers, but nothing like Trump. At first I thought that Trump simply forgets what the truth is, but now I believe that he knows exactly what he is saying and what his words will do. Arizona Ghost Towns: Contention City

Contention City Contention Mill Contention City is a ghost town that produced fortunes in silver ore during the 1880s. It is located approximately four miles north of the ghost town, Fairbank, AZ. There’s little or nothing left but scraps of metal, splintered pieces of wood and construction material, yet, for its purpose, it had been a good location for milling ore and mining. It was close to the San Pedro River, so there was water for operations, and water can be scarce where there are mines.  I also wondered why anyone would name a city, Contention. Well, the name, “Contention City,” came about due to an argument.
